Ebay FAIL
Well, it's official, my Blybe doll is never coming =( I ordered her in July, she "shipped" in August, and now it's October... she's never coming. I have just finished filing reports with everyone I can think of in order to get my money back and get that scum bag kicked off Ebay. I filed a report with the IC3, paypal, and Bank of America. Ebay wouldn't let me file since it was over 45 since I ordered. That's half the scam by the way. The guy strings you along, ships after 20 days and tells you the package will take a month to get there. By the time you realize your doll isn't coming, it's too late to file a complaint on Ebay, so they can't ban him. No one buy from 2inner_by_nature on Ebay, he's a crook! I'm going to go to a doll show in November, maybe they'll have some Blythe knock offs. Wish me luck! Stay away from Thailand dealers on Ebay!

New Shoes!!!
I bought two pairs of Blythe shoes off Ebay a few weeks ago, and they came today. They came in a rather large and rather flat envelope, which scared me slightly, but they are perfect. I ordered pink converses and a pair of Stitch (Disney) Crocs. The Crocs are a little big, but they are incredibly cute and fit well. They make my dolls look like little kids. The sneakers look big, but stay on rather well. It took my almost five minutes to pull the tongue out after it fell in, but it was worth it.

Ebay Addiction
I never realized that once you have an Ebay account, it is really hard to stop going on. I keep looking at all the Blythe dolls and clothes. There are so many cute things to get them and so many creative people. My Cassiopeia Spice arrived Monday. She is adorable. I love her, she has beautifully textured hair as well. I am still waiting for my Blythe clone doll =( It still hasn't shipped. I also ordered (God, I need to stop spending) a pair of crocs with Stitch (from Lilo and Stitch) on them and pink converses for my dolls. They're so cute, and while I have sewing and creative abilities, I have not mastered making shoes. I started sewing a pair of pants for them from a pattern I got online. Wish me luck!

Awaiting Two New Arrivals
I currently have one Blythe doll, a Roaring Red, whose hair I promptly took down and managed to tame. Recently, I ordered a Cassiopeia Spice from China, and according to the package tracker, she is in New York and most likely will be here Monday or Tuesday. I have to admit that I'm rather excited. I love my dolls, and I really wanted a short haired one. This doll I know I won't do anything to besides changing her clothes and possibly playing with her hair. I also ordered a knock off Blythe doll yesterday, but she hasn't shipped yet. Supposedly it takes nearly a month for things to ship from Thailand, but I'll be happy when I get her. Plus, I need to buy some new eye chips for her and possibly some new hair.

Introductions are in Order
Welcome to Blythe Nouveau.
This blog hopefully will showcase my Blythe dolls as well as the crafts that I do surrounding them. In the future, I'm hopefully going to customize a Blythe knock off and possibly document it step by step. I will post homemade clothing, furniture, and customization. If any of my followers create something noteworthy, I will give their creations a feature on the site.
What is Blythe?
The main features of a Blythe doll is it's over sized head and eyes that change color and position when you pull a string on her back. Blythe dolls originally debuted in America in 1972, but the dolls weren't very popular, so they discontinued production. The original dolls sell for thousands of dollars, so please, if you get one, don't customize it. They were rediscovered in the '90's, and in 2004, production began on them again. They reproduced the four original designs from the '70's, and eventually, they began to release a new Blythe doll monthly. They range in price from under a hundred dollars to a couple hundred or a thousand for an original doll.
